After six scans, you’ll be entered into our monthly prize draw, featuring great giveaways from downtown businesses and the DSFBA! 🎁

Thinking six visits sounds like a lot? No worries—the program runs all year long. 🗓️

We made it through the holidays and are officially deep in the dog days of winter. With the cold and grey outside today, we figured—why not think warm thoughts and rev those engines toward summer? That can only mean one thing… Bike Nights are back for 2026!

The Downtown Smiths Falls Business Association is thrilled to announce the dates for the 2026 Bike Night Season. Sticking with the popular 2025 format, Bike Nights will once again roll into downtown on the first Wednesday of each month:

That weird in-between season after the holidays and before spring can feel a little… meh. The twinkle lights are gone, outdoor plans are on hold, and suddenly you’re wondering “what do people even do in winter?” Luckily, our downtown has answers. This winter, we’re popping into DSFBA businesses and sharing some fun, cozy ways to beat the winter blahs.

Next stop on our adventure? @the.craftwitch on Russell St. E. 🧙‍♀️🎨

We were extra excited when Christin (the Craft Witch herself!) moved into a bigger downtown space in 2025, because bigger space = more room for activities. And wow, has she been putting it to good use.

Hidden way in the back of the shop (seriously… keep walking, then walk some more), Christin has created a magical little art space for workshops, drop-in craft days, and classes. To properly test it out, our coordinator Megan brought her cousin along and turned one of Christin’s workshops into a full-on cousins’ paint night.

Everything was taken care of—including supplies and snacks—and Christin led us through painting the cutest, most magical mushroom masterpieces. Zero stress, lots of laughs, and no prior art skills required.
And the best part? This is just the beginning. This workshop was only a tiny peek at what’s coming, and we already know there are plenty more creative events brewing for 2026.

So, whether you’re a seasoned artist or someone who just wants an excuse to paint mushrooms on a winter evening, we 10/10 recommend checking out what’s happening at The Craft Witch and adding it to your Downtown Smiths Falls winter plans. 🎨❄️

So this winter, we’re heading downtown to explore what our DSFBA businesses are up to and sharing a few fun ways to beat the winter blahs.

Our first stop? Dad’s Arcade on Russell St. E.

This newly opened spot launched in August 2025, and we’re thrilled to welcome it to the DSFBA family. Dad’s Arcade is packed with classic video games, pinball, and all your favourite nostalgic machines—with just enough modern flair mixed in. No digging around for loose change here: simply grab a time-based wristband when you arrive and play to your heart’s content. There’s also a fully stocked snack bar and beverages to keep you fueled while you chase those high scores.

We even brought along Smiths Falls Tourism Coordinator Jeff for the adventure (because, frankly, our own coordinator Megan should not be allowed near video games). Let’s just say nostalgia was fully embraced and fun was had by all.

Whether you’re looking to kill 30 minutes, spend an entire afternoon, or host a birthday party (yes, they do that too!), Dad’s Arcade is a must-stop when you’re looking for something fun to do in Smiths Falls—especially during the winter months.
